Terms & Conditions
By accessing, using, or purchasing from the Etra Fine Jewellery website, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Etra Fine Jewellery. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using this website or engaging in any transactions.
1. Amendments to Terms
Etra Fine Jewellery reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these terms and conditions at any time at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice. Your continued use of the website or participation in any transactions following any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
2. Website Use & Security
Your access to and use of this website is at your own risk. You are responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activities conducted under your account. Any unauthorised use must be reported to Etra Fine Jewellery immediately. We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to this website at any time without prior notice.
3. Orders, Payments & Acceptance
Placing an order constitutes a legally binding agreement to purchase the specified item(s) at the indicated price. Etra Fine Jewellery reserves the right to refuse orders at its sole discretion, including cases of payment authorisation failure or unavailability of items. All purchases are intended for personal use and not for resale.
Verbal confirmation of the purchase of diamonds or gemstones constitutes a binding sales agreement, and the buyer will be invoiced accordingly. The buyer must provide formal approval of the jewellery design before production begins. Any significant design modifications that cannot be accommodated at the mounting stage (intermediate production phase prior to gemstone setting) will incur additional costs, which shall be borne by the buyer. Any changes requested after completion of the piece will also be at the buyer’s expense.
A deposit payment is required within seven (7) days from the date of invoice. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the commissioned item and before collection or shipment. Failure to remit full payment will result in forfeiture of ownership rights to the purchased item. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 4% above Hong Kong base rate from the due date.
Etra Fine Jewellery reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for non-payment, including reimbursement of legal and collection costs.
Custom Orders & Cancellations: Once a custom order has been placed and production has commenced, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. Clients must carefully review and approve all design details before confirming the order.
4. Product Availability & Pricing
If an item is out of stock, the estimated production lead time is four to six (4-6) weeks. All prices are final and non-negotiable.
Etra Fine Jewellery strives to meet estimated production timelines, but delays due to supplier availability, unforeseen circumstances, or global shipping disruptions are not grounds for order cancellation.
5. Jewellery Care, Warranty & Repairs
Each Etra Fine Jewellery piece is handcrafted, and slight variations or imperfections are inherent to artisanal craftsmanship. Every piece undergoes a thorough quality inspection before delivery. Customers are responsible for inspecting their jewellery upon receipt and acknowledging its condition.
Gold and platinum are malleable metals requiring proper care. While diamonds are highly durable, they remain susceptible to chipping or breakage if subjected to impact. Customers should exercise caution with fine jewellery and follow the provided care instructions.
Etra Fine Jewellery provides a limited one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. To qualify for warranty service, items must be returned for inspection to determine if the issue arises from a manufacturing fault or external damage. A photographic record of the item will be taken before despatch.
A complimentary resizing service is available for engagement rings produced by Etra Fine Jewellery if the client did not have an opportunity to try on the mounting (e.g., for surprise proposals). This service must be requested within 3 months of purchase.
Repairs for accidental damage will be subject to service fees. Etra Fine Jewellery is not responsible for any damage or issues arising from resizing or alterations performed by another jeweller. For international customers, all shipping and insurance costs associated with repairs are the customer’s responsibility. Etra Fine Jewellery can facilitate secure shipment via its FedEx account.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Etra Fine Jewellery offers complimentary FedEx shipping and insurance for newly purchased jewellery. Customers are responsible for any applicable duties, taxes, or import fees. A signature upon delivery is required. If a third party accepts the package on your behalf, it will be deemed valid proof of receipt.
Once an item has been handed over to the carrier, Etra Fine Jewellery is not responsible for loss or damage during transit. Customers should file claims directly with the courier service, though Etra will assist in the claims process where possible.
7. Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted exclusively for ready-made items within seven (7) days of receipt. Bespoke and custom-made jewellery are non-returnable. Customers are responsible for ensuring returned items are in their original condition and for covering all associated shipping and insurance costs.
Returns must be unworn, in original packaging, and include all accompanying documentation. Items showing signs of wear, damage, or modification (such as resizing by a third party) will not be accepted.
8. Diamond Certification & Ethical Sourcing
All diamonds above 0.30 carats are eligible for a GIA certification upon request.
Etra Fine Jewellery exclusively sources diamonds from suppliers compliant with the Kimberley Process, ensuring conflict-free procurement.
9. Valuations & Insurance
We strongly recommend that customers obtain insurance coverage for their jewellery, particularly rings, due to daily wear exposure. A valuation certificate may be issued upon request for insurance purposes.
10. Intellectual Property & Site Content
Etra Fine Jewellery retains full ownership of all product photography, jewellery designs, and associated creative assets. The company reserves the right to use such materials for marketing, promotional, or portfolio purposes.
Commissioning a bespoke piece does not grant the customer ownership of the design rights. Etra Fine Jewellery reserves the right to showcase similar designs in future collections.
All content, including but not limited to logos, text, images, and jewellery designs, is the intellectual property of Etra Fine Jewellery. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
